Many homeowners assume they need to hire an architect or interior designer before they can start on a kitchen. With Foscari Interiors, kitchen design is part of the service. Our in-house architects and designers take a kitchen from first conversation to fully documented design, and stay involved through installation.
This guide explains what Foscari’s kitchen design service includes and how it works.
Who Does the Design
Foscari’s design team includes architects and kitchen designers who work with professional tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp and Revit. They know our cabinet lines in detail, which means designs are developed around what can actually be built, with the right modules, finishes and fittings.
Clients often mention the designers by name. One Houston client wrote in a review that “Joaquin custom designed our kitchen and we love it so much.”
What the Design Service Includes
Consultation
The first meeting is complimentary, at our Richmond Avenue showroom or in your home. We discuss how you use the kitchen, what is not working, your style and your budget. You do not need drawings to start.
Design proposal
Based on the consultation, our team develops one or more design proposals with floor plans, elevations and 3D renderings, along with pricing, so you can compare options and understand costs.
Design development
We refine the chosen design through meetings at the showroom, in your home or online, selecting cabinet line, finishes, interior fittings, countertops, appliances and lighting.
Documentation
The final package includes detailed plans, elevations, renderings and schedules. It is used to order the cabinetry and guides your contractor on plumbing, electrical and installation. You can see an example in our sample project renderings.

What Our Designers Help You Decide
- Layout: work zones, island size, circulation and connection to living areas
- Appliances: selection and integration, or designing around appliances you already own
- Storage: drawers, pantry, appliance garages, waste and recycling
- Cabinet line: TM Italia, Cucinesse, Artcraft or Johnson, depending on style and budget
- Finishes: from more than 2,000 options across our collections
- Related products: countertops, lighting, plumbing fixtures and tile
How Long Design Takes
It depends on the project. Foscari has designed and ordered a kitchen within a week, and worked with clients on full-house projects for up to a year before moving to cabinets. Starting early gives the most room to explore options and coordinate with construction.
Working With Your Architect or Designer
If you already have an architect, interior designer or builder, Foscari works alongside them. Our team provides the cabinetry design and technical documentation, while your designer leads the overall vision of the home.
