“Luxury” is used loosely in the cabinet business. At Foscari Interiors, a luxury kitchen means something specific: cabinetry built for the room, materials chosen with care, everything integrated, and one team responsible from first sketch to final adjustment.
This guide explains what that looks like for a Houston homeowner choosing a luxury kitchen with Foscari.
1. Cabinetry Built for the Room
Standard cabinets come in fixed widths and heights, and fillers close the gaps. Luxury cabinetry follows the architecture instead.
Our primary line for this work is TM Italia, a made-to-measure Italian manufacturer founded as a family workshop in 1951. Its system is built on five cabinet depths and five heights that are adapted to each room, so tall cabinets meet the ceiling, runs align with windows and the island is proportioned to the space.
2. Materials Worth Touching
In a luxury kitchen, the surfaces carry the design. TM Italia alone offers around 350 materials, 50 wood species and more than 50 colors at the factory, and across our collections clients can choose from more than 2,000 finish options, including:
- Natural wood veneers, including grain-matched elevations
- Matte, satin and high-gloss lacquers, with custom colors on request
- Stone and marble
- Glass and metal
- Fluted and textured fronts
3. Everything Integrated
A luxury kitchen does not look like a room full of appliances. Refrigerators, dishwashers and freezers sit behind matching panels. Ovens and coffee machines align in tall cabinet walls. Small appliances disappear behind pocket doors. Lighting is built into shelves, drawers and wall units.
Foscari coordinates the cabinetry with the other elements of the kitchen, including countertops, appliances, integrated lighting, plumbing and electrical fixtures, and tile, so they are designed together rather than added afterward.
4. Storage Designed Around You
Luxury is also what happens behind the doors: full-extension drawers with dividers, pantry walls, appliance garages, waste and recycling systems, and storage planned around how the household cooks and entertains. Larger homes may add a scullery or secondary kitchen to keep the main kitchen clear.
5. In-House Design and Documentation
Foscari’s in-house architects and designers develop each kitchen with plans, elevations, 3D renderings and schedules. That documentation lets you see the kitchen before it is ordered, and gives your builder and trades a precise reference for plumbing, electrical and installation.
6. One Team From Design to Installation
Our service runs from consultation through installation. The Morningside Residence in Upper Kirby, completed in late 2021, is an example: Foscari provided the custom design, cabinetry and installation, taking the kitchen from rendering to the finished room.
What a Luxury Kitchen Takes
- Time: TM Italia production typically takes 12–18 weeks after approval, so design should start well before construction needs the cabinets.
- Early decisions: appliances should be chosen before cabinetry is finalized.
- Careful approval: every order is made for the project and cannot be returned once in production.
- Investment: Foscari prices each kitchen from its design rather than by the linear foot. Our article on luxury European kitchen cabinet costs in Houston explains the factors involved.
